Students In The Workplace

Secondary school students can currently be placed in the working environment under three different work placement programs:

  • Work Experience,
  • Structured Workplace Learning, and
  • Australian School Based Apprenticeships.

Each program has a different focus, and expectations and it is important that all parties involved understand the differences between these programs.

In particular, it is vital that the employer understands and acknowledges the importance of their role when hosting a student for work placement, as this is crucial to the successful experience of all parties involved.
